The $40.27 government fee is $4.00 processing plus $36.27 authorization. If your application is denied you pay only the $4.00 processing fee.

- An address in the United States, if you know it
- A card for the service fee — the government fee is paid separately, to CBP

If you are unsure how to answer an eligibility question — the ones about arrests, convictions, communicable diseases or drug use — speak to a qualified immigration attorney. We do not advise on those, and we do not store your answers to them.
Rather do it yourself?
That is completely reasonable, and it is what most people do. The official application takes about fifteen minutes and costs $40.27. You do not need us.
